Video: Big heat for Tom Sykes at Portimao!

The images are bloodcurdling but the pilot is left with a big scare. A round of the Superbike championship is taking place this weekend on the selective and hilly Portuguese route of Portimao. Among the protagonists, Tom Sykes, Kawasaki official who showed himself as usual, all fired up... Literally and figuratively.

Tom Sykes is the teammate of a Jonathan Rhea who dominates the category to such an extent that organizer Dorna would like to see him, according to rumor, in his MotoGP. However, it was not through his lap times that he stood out during FP3, but through this spectacular accident which fortunately did not end too badly.

The 2013 World Champion in the discipline thus escaped with a damaged little finger. Only. And it’s definitely a lesser evil!
