Jorge Lorenzo, who has just achieved the best time in Q1, leaves his box a few moments after the other drivers.
All drivers are soft rear and medium front, with the exception of Johann zarco who chose a software for the front.
After the first flying lap, the provisional pole belongs to Jorge Lorenzo in 1'48.288.
Marc Márquez reacts to the next passage with a 1'47.963 while Johann zarco returns to his box after only two laps.
The third and fourth laps involve few modifications and the drivers then return to their box to fit a new soft rear tire.
At this moment, the grid looks like this: Marquez, Vinales, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Crutchlow, Kallio, Iannone, Aleix Espargaro, Bautista, Rossi, Dovizioso and Zarco.
The second and final run is reduced to its simplest expression, with only four minutes to snatch a good place on the grid…
Many of them light up the first sectors in red, Marc Márquez resulting Andrea Iannone in its wake while Dani Pedrosa does the same thing with Alvaro Bautista.
More Marc Márquez makes a mistake and will not score his 5th consecutive pole in Aragon, while Valentino Rossi climbs to first place in the ranking in 1'47.815.
