The Argentine Grand Prix always remains a memory of the world before, but it is assured of its presence on the MotoGP calendar of the one after until 2025. The pandemic which prevented it from welcoming the paddock and the gigantic fire which more than damaged its infrastructure will not have had the skin of this deadline in the land of tango. A three-year extension allows Termas de Rio Hondo to remain the headquarters of MotoGP in Latin America from 2023 to 2025.

Dorna Sports did not hide his satisfaction at announcing a contract extension which will allow theArgentina to remain on the FIM MotoGP World Championship calendar until 2025. Already confirmed until 2022 due to disruptions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, a new three-year contract will now allow the Autódromo Termas de Rio Hondo, in the province of Santiago del Estero, to continue hosting MotoGP in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Termas de rio hondo welcomed for the first time the MotoGP in 2014, creating a new home for the category in Latin America. This new agreement between Dorna Sports, the Argentine Ministry of Sports and Tourism, the National Institute for the Promotion of Tourism in Argentina (Inprotur) and the government of the province of Santiago del Estero, as well as the OSD group as local promoter , was announced during a special presentation at Termas de Rio Hondo, confirming the future of one of the most dynamic race weekends on the MotoGP calendar and extending the collaboration beyond the decade mark.

Gerardo Zamora, Governor of Santiago del Estero added: “ the city of Termas de Rio Hondo and the province of Santiago del Estero will remain positioned on the international scene thanks to this event, to the work that has been carried out during these seven years in this direction. MotoGP creates a strong economic impact in northern Argentina. The competition takes place on a high-level circuit and the drivers, organization and fans know and appreciate the destination. The Republic of Argentina also gains visibility among hundreds of thousands of households around the world thanks to official broadcasts. The provincial government, together with Dorna, Inprotur and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, are joining forces so that these achievements can last for a long time."
