The kind of incident that leaves marks in the head but also on the body. Jorge Lorenzo explain : " I'm in a lot of pain. Especially my elbow and my toes hurt a lot. It was the latter who were injured in Aragon in 2018. It was a serious accident. It wasn't a highside, I lost my front wheel at very high speed ».
Jorge Lorenzo commented : " in some corners there is really very little room for a fall in Barcelona. The gravel didn't slow me down, so I hit the Air Fences. Then I saw the bike outside behind the fence outside the track. It was very scary at first, because my back hurt. But checks showed that fortunately nothing is broken. I got back on the bike. I was in a lot of pain so I couldn't apply pressure properly. It was important that we try everything we had on our counter ».
Jorge Lorenzo found himself in 17th place on Monday at the Circuit de Catalunya. The 32-year-old driver returned 1.3s to the best time of the exercise signed by Maverick Vinales on his Yamaha. On the new parts added to his Honda, Lorenzo said : " we kept trying ergonomic things and a few things on the chassis. Some of the parts are for next year, but the majority are for future races. Honda worked very well and quickly in Japan. I was very surprised by the capabilities and speed of their reaction. They delivered the new products very quickly ».
The next MotoGP meeting will take place in around ten days now near Assen which will host the Dutch Grand Prix.
