Sepang Moto2 Zarco: "I would like to be an example for future French riders"

Zarco: "This crown is a source of pride and I hope that this second world title will give momentum to the passion for motorcycling in France so that it can develop even more.

The clouds were one of the actors of the last Malaysian Grand Prix but Zarco is still on his. On the Sepang track, he retained his Moto2 world title, a first in the category but also unprecedented in Grand Prix for a French rider. A performance whose aura has gone beyond the world of motorcycles to reach the general media and even up to the government. But let it be said, the 26-year-old from Cannes will not keep this fame for himself.

From a discreet or even closed approach, zarco is above all an enthusiast totally devoted to motorcycles, seeking perfection at every moment to simply be worthy of his vocation. A humility which combines with a shared life in the paddock during meetings and which bursts into full light when we attack this universe. Remember his anger during a press conference in which the atmosphere was weighed down by the death of Salom.

Now he is once again on top of the world. But at a higher altitude perhaps than last time. Because he groomed the statistics to tread the ground of History. For what feeling? “ It is a source of pride and I hope that this second world title will give impetus to the passion for motorcycling in France so that it can develop even further. I had already noticed an evolution last year, but I hope that we will take another step forward this time ».

He specifies : " we all want the passion for motorcycling to grow, for more people to watch the races on television. This is also why I opened a driving school with Laurent Fellon and where I spend a lot of time between Grands Prix. I would like to be an example for future French pilots. And I hope that this second title will help ».
