Airbag technology continues to evolve at breakneck speed. Competition-derived systems from Alpinestars and Dainese, in particular, benefit from the development of MotoGP and the World Superbike Championship. However, tethered airbag vests and jackets are aimed at motorcyclists riding on the road with simpler technology and maintenance.

French equipment manufacturer Bering launched its Protect Air line in 2010. Although it headlined the brand's airbag offerings for years, Bering recently ended sales of Protect Air clothing , but continues to support the current owners. The C-Protect Air series now succeeds the Protect Air collection with a unisex twisted airbag vest.

Bering positions the new C-Protect Air unit as the top layer. The brand encourages users to wear the airbag over a dedicated motorcycle jacket, as the cut of the vest does not protect the rider's arms from impact or abrasions.

The C-Protect Air Airbag Vest prioritizes comfort for this reason. Made of softshell material, the vest adapts to different jackets and body shapes. As a cable operated airbag, the user needs to attach the detonation cord to the motorcycle. For those who cannot find a suitable attachment point, Bering provides a strap and D-ring to install under the motorcycle seat.

If the rider falls from the motorcycle in the event of an accident, the C-Protect Air vest inflates in just 0,1 seconds. After each deployment, customers can easily reinsert a new CO2 cartridge. However, the device is only reusable if it has not suffered significant damage.

The C-Protect Air vest is available in two versions designed specifically for each type of biker. The first: an entirely black vest, particularly suitable for urban bikers, unisex, versatile and suitable for urban traffic; and the second in fluorescent color, designed specifically for those who travel even at night and need greater visibility.

The C-Protect Air is available in two sizes (SL and XL-XXXL) and is available at the reasonable price of €399,99 which makes it accessible to as many people as possible.
