Marc Marquez

How is Marc Marquez? He is waiting for Mother Nature to rid him of a diplopia that keeps him away from the motorcycle. So much so that he will not be at the Honda presentation on January 14. This is obviously not a good sign, knowing that two weeks later, the Sepang tests will begin in preparation for the high-stakes 2022 season...

Marc Márquez will be significantly absent from the presentation of the HRC program. Pol Espargaro, Alex Marquez et Takaaki Nakagami only will participate in the event on January 14 @ 11:00 pm.

With the start of the year, MotoGP teams are finalizing details for next season. One of the events closest to the calendar will be the presentation of the general program Repsol Honda. This act will take place online on January 14 at 11 a.m. The reason is none other than the recovery of the Cervera pilot, who has been suffering from diplopia for several months. According to the team and Motosan : " Marc Márquez will not participate to focus on his recovery and pre-season preparation ". For his part, his teammate Pol Espargaro will be present at the event. Members of the LCR satellite team, Alex Marquez et Takaaki Nakagami will also be present.

Marc Marquez continues preparation for next season

Apart from a few photos published on their Social Media, we know very little about the eldest of Márquez and the evolution of his injury. It was the team itself who shared a very positive message on December 22e: “Marc Márquez is progressing well with his diplopia and will continue conservative treatment for the next few weeks. He will be able to continue his physical training plan to prepare for the new season. It was also indicated that the Honda rider would continue to undergo periodic examinations with Dr. Sánchez Dalmau in the following weeks.

Until now, Márquez had to miss the last two Grand Prix of last season, as well as the subsequent tests at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. It remains to be seen whether the eight-time World Champion will be able to participate in the pre-season tests, which will take place on February 5 and 6 on the circuit of Sepang.
