As the driver market for the upcoming season stabilizes, moves are now increasingly focused on technicians.
Christian Pupulin, currently team leader of Jack Miller in KTM, would pass thus according to motorsport total à Honda to take care of the motorcycle Luca marini. Marini, who drives for the factory team Honda since 2024, currently working with James Guidotti. The latter, who arrived at Honda in 2017, worked with Dani Pedrosa, Joan mir et Takaaki Nakagami.
Marini initially asked to work with Santi Hernandez, the team leader of Marc Marquez. Marquez had tried to transfer Hernandez to Gresini-Ducati, but without success. Hernandez therefore stayed with Honda, now working with Joan Mir.
Christian Pupulin spent a large part of his career at Ducati before joining KTM with Jack Miller. He also worked with Nicky Hayden et Andrea Dovizioso. His transfer to Honda is just one of many technician changes planned for 2025.
Marc Marquez, joining the factory team Ducati, will find Marco Rigamonti, the former team leader ofEnea Bastianini. Bastianini, for his part, will find Alberto Giribuola at Tech3-KTM, where he previously worked at Gresini-Ducati and with Andrea Dovizioso at Ducati.

Chief mechanics are skills as in demand as those of MotoGP riders
At Tech3 KTM, Maverick Vinales will be accompanied by José Manuel Cazeaux, an Argentinian who has already worked on Top Gun notably at Suzuki, a duo which was reactivated in 2023 at Aprilia.
It remains to be determined who will be responsible for the RS-GP of George Martin in Aprilia. Daniel Romagnoli, current team leader of Martin at Pramac-Ducati, is a potential candidate. Antonio Jimenez is in discussions with Honda and could join its current pilot Aleix Espargaró, who will become a test pilot in 2025.
For Marco Bezzecchi, which will be official Aprilia next year, one name that stands out is that of David munoz, who worked with Valentino Rossi and currently with Fabio Di Giannantonio at VR46-Ducati. Munoz could also join the team Pramac, which will pass to Yamaha in 2025.
These strategic moves in teams and team leaders show how internal dynamics are critical to on-track performance. The arrival of new talents and the experience of veterans should bring interesting prospects for the 2025 MotoGP season.
