Having just stepped off his Aprilia from the satellite Trackhouse team after finishing third in the Qatar MotoGP Grand Prix at the Losail circuit, Raúl Fernández spoke to the cameras of the official MotoGP.com website , expressing his joy at being back on the podium after two particularly difficult Grands Prix due to his broken finger.

We report his remarks here without any formatting.

🎤 Raúl, what a performance! You missed the last two Grands Prix due to a broken finger, but you fought hard today to get on the podium. How much effort did it take?

Raúl Fernández: “Honestly, I’m really happy because, as you said, I had a lot of problems with my finger in the last two races. I’m not quite at 100% yet, but thanks to the physios, I’m here and I can almost give it my all. During the race, I tried to push to stay behind Marco because here, more than the tires, fuel is crucial. So I tried, but I couldn’t get to 100% because on lap six or seven, I was on MAP3 and the bike was lacking power. Then I tried to stay behind Marco to maintain the gap. I didn’t manage it, but I’m really happy. Another podium! The last time I raced on Sunday, I was here, so here I am again. Thank you! [He switches to Spanish] And Dad, Mom, a kiss to you, to everyone, and to Pancho!” »
