Red Bull

The future of MotoGP isn't just being decided on the track. While manufacturers are already preparing for the technical revolution of 2027, the battle is also being waged in the sponsors' offices. By officially extending its partnership with KTM, Red Bull is sending a strong message: the Austrian brand remains central to its MotoGP project, despite recent speculation linking it to Ducati. This announcement goes far beyond a simple renewal of a commercial contract.

From 2027, MotoGP will enter a new era with 850cc engines, significantly reduced aerodynamics, and a completely redesigned technical philosophy. KTMpreserve Red Bull represents much more than financial support.

The two companies have been collaborating for nearly twenty-five years in numerous disciplines, from motocross to the Dakar Rally, before extending their alliance to MotoGP in 2017Together, they won world titles in Moto3 and Moto2 and achieved seven victories as well as 38 podium finishes in the premier category.

Pete Beirer does not hide the importance of this continuity. Red Bull and KTM make a perfect team. Our partnership goes far beyond simple sponsorship. Red Bull supports us in many ways, both on the track and behind the scenes. This is an essential collaboration and we still have many projects to complete together »

MotoGP | KTM and Red Bull, the "marriage" continues

The Ducati rumors had gained momentum, but KTM clipped their wings.

This extension comes especially after several weeks of speculation fueled by the upcoming transfer window. The arrival of Peter Acosta within the Ducati Lenovo Team next to Marc Marquez had quickly given rise to a logical question: Red Bull would he follow his two biggest figures right into the official garage Ducati ?

The hypothesis seemed credible. Acosta is supported by Red Bull since his competitive debut. As for MarquezHe remains one of the most iconic ambassadors of the Austrian brand, even if his arrival at Ducati suspended this collaboration due to the existing partnership between the official team and Monster Energy.

Behind this announcement lies an economic battle that has become strategic. Today, Ducati is related to Monster Energy, a direct competitor of Red BullMaking the two brands coexist on the same fairings seemed extremely complex from a legal and commercial standpoint.

However, the links between Ducati et Red Bull They already exist. In the Motocross World Championship, the Italian manufacturer collaborates with the Austrian brand, proof that the two groups know how to work together when contracts allow. But in MotoGP, Monster's dominance remains firmly in place.

The renewal signed with KTM This confirms that Red Bull does not intend to abandon its long-standing partner at the dawn of the new regulations. One detail, however, is puzzling. The official press release does not explicitly mention the Tech3 team..

Should this be seen as a simple communication oversight or as a sign of a different marketing strategy for the satellite team? At this stage, KTM provided no further details.

Beyond the logo on the fairings, this announcement illustrates a fundamental trend. MotoGP 2027 isn't just about the riders or the new bikes. Major commercial partners are also looking to secure their positions before the new regulations come into effect.

By securing Red Bull for several more seasons, KTM This provides valuable stability at a time when the entire industry is preparing for one of the most significant technological revolutions in its history. And, at the same time, the Austrian manufacturer puts an end—at least temporarily—to the rumors that were announcing a spectacular merger with MotoGP across Red Bull et Ducati.
